Psalm 33:1-3
1. Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful.
2. Praise the Lord with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.
3. Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

How sweet it is to praise the Lord to lift our voices and shout joyfully to God our rock and our salvation. Praise the Lord that there are many ways to worship Him and many ways to give Him the honor and glory that he is due. Isn't it wonderful that we don't have to be perfect musicians to praise the Lord! I often cringe as I miss a note on my flute or sing out of tune but that is not what matters to the Lord. It says in verse one that praise from the upright is beautiful! Halleluiah! What matters is that we have a heart that is willing to open up to God and willing to give Him praise. It is so important to spend time praising the Lord for what he has done in our lives on a daily basis.
Here is a prayer that God gave me to speak into your lives through this verse. My prayer is that when you pray this prayer that God will reveal his word to you.
We praise you oh Lord most high! Glory and honor and praise be unto you! Lord we seek to five you all our praise. Teach us Abba how to sing new songs that you have written upon our hearts. Thank you Lord God for giving us the desire to worship you all the days of our lives. Lord we pray that you will teach us to live upright lives so that we will continue in our praise and so that our praise will be beautiful to you. All blessing, glory, honor and majesty be unto the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Amen.
