At the beginning of the year we often take time to reflect and set goals for what we plan to do throughout the new year. Many people set goals for weight loss, to get a better job, to have a child, to reach out to others through charity work, or to save a little money. These are great goals but I would like to suggest something even more important for our faith and for reaching out to others. Standing for righteousness should be our goal. Why should we stand in righteousness? Take a look all around you and you will see the answers to that question. Families are being torn apart through abuse, neglect, adultery and divorce. Countries are being torn apart through war, rumors of war, famine, tyranny, and terrorism. Pollution is killing animals, making people ill, and changing the atmosphere of the earth that the Lord has created. Children are on the street instead of in schools, and when the are in schools we fear for their safety. We as believers in Yeshua (Jesus our Lord) must begin to live our lives as lights unto this dying world. How can we do this? By living our lives in righteousness and sharing the love that the Lord has so graciously bestowed on us. Yeshua said to his disciples in Matthew 10:8 "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give."

In 2003 the Lord had given me two key teachings on standing in righteousness.  Originally I had labeled them Righteousness 2003 but I have change the title slightly as these teachings were not just for 2003.  They are for every year and every generation.
